The first time I found out I was pregnant, I experienced a slew of issues surrounding my pregnancy, my health, and the treatment I received during hospital visits. Patrice Buckner Jackson: Beyond The Burnout

Do you know your value?
 
The best way to provide value to others is to value yourself. You can’t worry about other people, your work, or your tasks until we start with yourself; and you have to know your values, your energy, your motivations, your purpose, your priorities and your sacrifices in order to serve others and disrupt cycles of burnout.   
 
In today’s episode, we will be highlighting another amazing woman who graduated from my signature program, Purpose To Platform.
 
Dr. Patrice Buckner Jackson, lovingly called Dr. PBJ by her community, is an educator for over 20 years, an executive coach for more than 10 years, and a transformational speaker. She is the creator and host of the Heart Work with PBJ podcast where her mission is to disrupt cycles of burnout for people who do their work from the heart. Dr. PBJ believes she is called to serve “Heart Workers” who struggle through overwhelm, burnout, and compassion fatigue. She empowers her community to do the work they are called to do without sacrificing everything that means most to them.

Pay For Peace

Are you willing to pay for your peace?
 
So many of us have spent our entire lives living in a scarcity mindset. We were programmed to live on less, sacrifice our time in exchange for money, and in order to save money, we refuse to invest in the people or services that could ultimately bring us peace. Until we break free from this mindset, we will never experience true abundance. 
 
The truth is, we have more than enough ability, capacity and brilliance to recreate any money spent on things that save us time. At some point we have to make a discussion that the investment is worth it, that we’re worth the investment and that peace, purpose, and our ability to rest is a priority.
 
Your purpose is worth no longer settling for distractions. What peace are you willing to invest in to scale your joy, free up your time, and in the process be a blessing to others.

Nedra Glover Tawwab: Set Boundaries, Find Peace

Over the last few weeks, we’ve focused on the power of letting go! During this series alone, we’ve learned about the magic of surrender, how to let go of guilt, how to gain freedom and to close out our Let It Go Series we are finding peace by setting boundaries. 
 
Letting go can be an active process that often requires some discomfort. It places us in a position to remove relationships that no longer serve us and it forces us to set and enforce boundaries that may change how we communicate with others. Today’s guest lives by the philosophy that a lack of boundaries and assertiveness underlie most relationship issues and she is here to help us set boundaries by letting go of the toxic habits that keep us from finding peace. 
 
Nedra Glover Tawwab is a licensed therapist and sought-after relationship expert. As we continue our Let It Go Series, one thing I’ve learned about letting go is that there is freedom, beauty, impact and opportunity on the other side of letting go of shame, guilt, past hurts, and past wounds.

Valorie Burton: Let Go Of The Guilt

This entire month is dedicated to letting things go. Whether that means letting go of limiting beliefs, toxic relationships, shame, or even guilt, letting go is the key to truly living your life’s purpose and walking in the freedom that you’re called to.
