Linda Murray Bullard: From Layoff to Legacy
Tuesday Feb 18, 2020
Tuesday Feb 18, 2020
Linda Murray Bullard experienced not one layoff, but two layoffs in the last year. The first time around her six-figure salary was snatched from under her and she had no additional income streams to rely on. But the second time which was just several months ago in 2019, she was a member of my business accelerator, Purpose to Platform, and this time she knew she would be all right.
Linda started her business, LSMB Solutions six year ago. She was well known in her hometown of Chattanooga, TN and was busy doing all the things she thought were necessary to be successful in business, but she didn’t have a blueprint. Since joining Purpose 2 Platform, Linda has repurposed her content in a way that serves her clients more powerfully, revamped her pricing to go from charging by the hour to charging for results and she’s refreshed what it means to be “The Business Plug.”
Join us as Linda shares her experience with Purpose to Platform and her greatest takeaways and incredible experiences since enrolling.
This episode is brought to you by Purpose 2 Platform, a 20-week business accelerator and mentorship program that will get you clear on HOW to package your PURPOSE, communicate your PROMISE to your ideal audience, choose the best PLATFORM for your personality and lifestyle and create a PREMIUM offer so you can increase impact, influence and income with integrity!

When Brittany joined my Business Accelerator, Purpose to Platform, she came into it with the idea that she was going to build a business. There’s nothing wrong with that idea, but as Brittany says, “Purpose to Platform is a program that takes you from having a one-track business mind into developing a full platform. It transformed how I thought about building a business.”
Since then, Brittany has achieved so much. She’s launched her own podcast – The Brittany Sherell Podcast – that’s about helping women learn to be okay with prioritizing themselves. She’s been featured as a thought leader in ten different publications, has been featured on podcasts, has taught webinars for international organizations, has completed a coaching certification to become a happiness coach and has published her first book, The Fulfillment Factor.

The Fulfillment Factor Takeaways
We’re conditioned to chase success and then oftentimes we find out that satisfaction does not live there. – Brittany Sherell
One of the most powerful things I’ve gained is understanding that there’s power in having a network. – Brittany Sherell
Sometimes other people’s freedom is attached to your fruit. – Brittany Sherell
You have to be willing to move beyond fear and move into the unknown and embrace it because it’s bigger than you. – Brittany Sherell
I’m committed to being my best self so that I’m always pouring from a place of abundance into other people’s lives. – Brittany Sherell
Execute and then evolve. – Brittany Sherell
Are you on the fence about Purpose to Platform? As Brittany says, “You don’t know how much time you have left on Earth, so you need to make the most of it. Do not second guess this.
Too many times, we consider things or look things over and come up with an excuse to talk ourselves out of something. You execute and then you evolve. You don’t sit there and come up with a million reasons why you should be doing something else.”

Love Looks Like Support
Thursday Feb 13, 2020
Thursday Feb 13, 2020
Have you ever noticed how many people use Valentine’s Day and the gifts they receive as an indicator for how much their spouse or significant other loves them?
They’ll post pictures of all their gifts on Facebook and Instagram and say things like, “Look at how much so-and-so loves me!” But is this love? I ask because I’m not so sure it is.
See, for many of those women, sure they’ll get the candy and flowers, but when it comes time for them to invest in themselves, their spouse or significant other will usually say, “We can’t afford it,” or worse “I don’t want you to.” And to me, that’s not love.
Love is about support, and on today’s episode, I’ve invited the husbands of three Purpose 2 Platform students to share how and why they support their wives, and how this support has made their marriages stronger.
Join us as we shift from conventional Valentine’s Day speak and zero-in on how love looks like when you’re supportive, not demonstrative.
This episode is brought to you by Purpose 2 Platform, a 20-week business accelerator and mentorship program that will get you clear on HOW to package your PURPOSE, communicate your PROMISE to your ideal audience, choose the best PLATFORM for your personality and lifestyle and create a PREMIUM offer.
Through this program, you’ll receive accountability and support in a dynamic community designed so you can finally make progress and be ready before you even need to pull that trigger on what’s no longer serving you.

When Love Looks Like Support Takeaways
We typically think coaching is for sports, but really anyone who wants to achieve something should seek some type of coaching. – John Norris
When you’ve a shared goal as a couple, you need to let each other explore different avenues of accomplishing that goal. – Dr. Jameson Mercier
For a lot of people, business ideas come out of desperation and desperation cannot sustain a business. – Dr. Jameson Mercier
When I was starting out, there were many times when I had to borrow Gerald’s faith, and for me, I’d much rather have that than flowers. – Patrice Washington
You don’t mitigate the risks by NOT following your dreams – it’s still risky whether you do or don’t do it. – Dr. Jameson Mercier
We’re on the same team. So if your spouse makes money, you make money, too. – Jamal Joyner
What does love look like to you? Is it roses and candy or is it the support of your spouse or significant other? I’ve met a lot of women who want to take their lives and careers to the next level, but don’t have the support they need from their spouse to get there.
If that’s where you are, follow Dr. Jameson Mercier’s advice. Be honest and speak to your spouse about what you need. And, of course, Happy Valentine’s Day.

Dr. George Fraser: Connecting the Dots
Thursday Feb 06, 2020
Thursday Feb 06, 2020
Have you ever heard the phrase, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with,” or “The quickest way to change yourself is to hang out with people who are already where you want to be?” These phrases are fairly common in the business world, especially when you get into networking and learning how to build a network.
Today, Dr. George Fraser, author, entrepreneur and speaker talks about how to improve your network (and why you should), the importance of building wealth and leaving a legacy and the need for an economic shift in African culture.
Dr. Fraser has written several critically-acclaimed books: Success Runs in Our Race: The Complete Guide to Effective Networking in the African American Community, Race for Success: The Ten Best Business Opportunities for Blacks In America and Click: Ten Truths for Building Extraordinary Relationships.

Jordan Raynor: Master of One
Thursday Jan 30, 2020
Thursday Jan 30, 2020
Have you ever wondered, “How do I find my purpose? How do I narrow down the things I’m good at and find the one thing that’s my true gift?” At Redefining Wealth, we’re all about chasing purpose, not money. In fact it’s our tagline.
But struggling to find your purpose is indeed a major problem for most people, and when you don’t know what your purpose is, you end up going in a bunch of different directions and never fully committing to any of them.
In today’s episode, I invited Jordan Raynor, author of Master of One, to share his story and what he’s learned about the process of narrowing down multiple passions to focus on true mastery and how excellence comes from that initial step of finding and cultivating your purpose.
As we dive in, Jordan talks about how he was always the “Jack of all trades, and master of none,” and how he had to shift his thinking so he didn’t end up living in mediocrity – in the “master of none” space. Join us as we discuss how to find your purpose, how to pivot your purpose as needed and how to embrace excellence and mastery in the thing that you’ve chosen.
This episode is brought to you by our complimentary Purpose Chasers community. Want to share your aha moments with a group of like-minded purpose chasers from all over the world? Visit iamapurposechaser.com and join NOW.
Master of One Takeaways
Embrace being a “Jack or Jill of all trades,” BUT become a master of one. – Jordan Raynor
To become truly masterful, you need to develop a lifelong discipline of continually raising the bar and getting better at your craft. – Jordan Raynor
Passion is a side effect of mastery. – Jordan Raynor
Plan on putting in 10,000 hours of purposeful practice to get world-class at anything. – Jordan Raynor
You can do a million things one time and be upset by the results, or you can choose to do fewer things a million times and master them. – Patrice Washington
Most people make a millimeter of progress in a million different directions – that’s not mastery. – Jordan Raynor
Purpose evolves and requires you to take everything you’ve learned and use it to serve and support you in the next season. – Patrice Washington
You cannot do your most excellent work if you’re scattered and unfocused. – Jordan Raynor
Are you a “Jack or Jill of all trades and master of none?” Are you struggling to find work you can do exceptionally well? Are you getting caught up in the discipline and practice of mastery? Wherever you are, Master of One can help. Grab your copy of Master of One HERE.

Princeton Parker: Can’t Protect from Process
Thursday Jan 23, 2020
Thursday Jan 23, 2020
Have you ever thought, “If I were a different version of myself – thinner, richer, more successful – then I would have a fairer shot at life”?
Truth is: Many of us do. Sadly, it’s not a story that’s unfamiliar to us.
Princeton Parker points out in today’s episode, the story of the Prodigal Son. The son who does not just leave his home, but he leaves a version of himself in pursuit of a different version of himself only to discover that there was nothing wrong with who he was before he left home.
He has to lose everything he thought he wanted in order to realize he needed none of it.
Join us as we unpack the story of the Prodigal Son, bringing emotional health and psychology into the mix, while looking at those things through the lens of the prodigal son’s father.
This episode is brought to you by our complimentary Purpose Chasers community. Want to share your aha moments with a group of like-minded purpose chasers from all over the world? Visit iamapurposechaser.com and join NOW.
Can’t Protect from Process Takeaways
Growing up and maturing isn’t about becoming someone different; it’s about realizing there was nothing wrong with you in the first place. – Princeton Parker
Reclaim the identity you gave up in search of what you felt like you needed to be. – Princeton Parker
We think we know what inheritance means because we’re able to see reward without responsibility and promise without purpose. – Princeton Parker
If I loved myself, I would know that I was enough. – Princeton Parker
I can’t “okay” you leaving until I “okay” the life that I have without you. – Princeton Parker
The hardest thing to break up with are our own expectations. – Princeton Parker
The same faith that gives you the strength to hold on should be the same faith that gives you the strength to let go. – Princeton Parker
When we release someone from our lives– a child, a partner, an employee – we have to trust in that decision and in that process. Like the prodigal son’s father letting him go, the father had to trust and accept his son would experience more than he could give him through words alone.

Tanisha Lyons-Porter: Functional Over Fictional
Thursday Jan 16, 2020
Thursday Jan 16, 2020
Where do you rank on the organized-disorganized spectrum? Many of us rank somewhere in the middle – not completely disorganized, but not 100% organized either. That’s why so many people set New Year’s resolutions to declutter their home.
But at Redefining Wealth, we’re not about resolutions, we’re about results, and that’s why I’ve invited Tanisha Lyons Porter to join us today. Tanisha is a professional organizer and has been organizing spaces since she was a child. In addition to working one-on-one with clients, Tanisha teaches several organizing workshops across Southern California, and her signature event – Sort n Sip with Tanisha Porter – is a hands-on organizing workshop that erases the dread of decluttering with food, fun and socializing.
So, if you’re trying to declutter this new year but you’re overwhelmed, this is an episode you don’t want to miss. Inside, we’re covering everything from practical steps for decluttering and making it a consistent habit to what the difference is between organizing a space versus cleaning a space.
This episode is brought to you by our complimentary Purpose Chasers community. Want to share your aha moments with a group of like-minded people from all over the world? Visit iamapurposechaser.com and join NOW.
Natural Born Organizer Takeaways
Clutter is the physical manifestation of chaos in your mind. – Patrice Washington
Organization is not about perfection, it’s about finding systems and methods that line up with how you and your family operate. – Tanisha Lyons Porter
Being organized is about being able to find what you need, when you need it – it’s not about being Pinterest perfect. – Tanisha Lyons Porter
The average American spends 76 hours a year looking for things they already own but can never find. – Patrice Washington
When it comes to getting rid of clutter, create a consistent routine rather than an organizing event or marathon. – Tanisha Lyons Porter
Keeping clothes in your closet that don’t fit is like keeping mean girlfriends around because you don’t like to be alone. – Tanisha Lyons Porter

Tonya Dalton: The Joy of Missing Out
Thursday Jan 09, 2020
Thursday Jan 09, 2020
Are you the type of person who goes to bed thinking, “I didn’t do enough today,” “I didn’t accomplish all the things I had on my to-do list and I feel awful about it”? Too often, this is how we end our day, and it’s how we wake up the next day.
But here’s the thing, feeling bad about yourself for not being as productive as you wanted to be doesn’t serve you. And it certainly isn’t going to boost your productivity because who’s going to be more productive when they feel like they’ve been bad?
In today’s episode, I sit down with Tonya Dalton, author of The Joy of Missing Out and founder of inkWELL Press Productivity Co., a company centered around productivity tools and training, to dive further into this topic of to-do lists and priorities and how most of the things we check off our lists just leave us feeling incomplete and unhappy.
This episode is brought to you by our complimentary Purpose Chasers community. Want to share your aha moments with a group of like-minded purpose chasers from all over the world? Visit iamapurposechaser.com and join NOW.
The Joy of Missing Out Takeaways
So often we think life is meant to be endured, when truly it’s meant to be enjoyed. – Tonya Dalton
We’re so busy chasing busy that we don’t give ourselves a chance to inhale so that we can exhale. – Tonya Dalton
Give yourself permission to take back your power and choose what actually matters to you. – Patrice Washington
We’re so busy people pleasing that we put ourselves at the very bottom of our own people-pleasing list. – Tonya Dalton
We can’t shine our light on other people if our batteries always need recharging. – Tonya Dalton
Self-care is not about spa days and pedicures; it’s about filling up your soul, not your calendar. – Tonya Dalton
Quiet your soul – only then will you be able to see where God is pulling you. – Tonya Dalton
When it comes to living that go-go-go lifestyle, it’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of it and think that productivity should outweigh our happiness. But that’s just not true – your happiness is more important than checking off a bunch of meaningless tasks.
So I invite you to think about how you’re living each day. Are you checking off tasks that are truly important to you or are you checking off tasks and creating lists that are meaningless to your purpose?
Redefining Wealth Rapid Wisdom Questions
And with that, let’s dig into Tonya’s responses to our Redefining Wealth Rapid Wisdom Questions.

Koya Webb: Your Rituals Create Your Results
Thursday Jan 02, 2020
Thursday Jan 02, 2020
Why is a morning routine important? How do you start one and what do you include? Is it just a morning meditation or can your routine include meditation, breakfast, going to the gym, journaling, etc.?
In today’s episode, we’re kicking off 2020 with our Results NOT Resolutions series and I’ve invited Koya Webb, founder of Get Loved Up, an international lifestyle community and Yoga School, and author of Let Your Fears Make You Fierce, to share how she uses rituals to manifest results in her life.
Koya is an internationally recognized yoga teacher, celebrity holistic health coach, author, speaker and vegan activist whose core mission is to promote daily self-care, oneness and eco-friendly living to combat some of the world’s biggest challenges including mental health, social injustices and global warming.
Part of Koya’s message is if you’re serious about getting results and manifesting what it is you say you want, then you have to commit. You have to consistently –day-in, day-out – show up and do the work.
Now, let’s dive in as Koya and I discuss this and more!
This episode is brought to you by Purpose 2 Platform, my hands on business accelerator that gives spirit-led women the strategy to create more impact, influence and income with integrity. Schedule a call to see if I’m the coach for you!
Rituals Create Your Results Takeaways
Gratitude is the number one key to keeping us in alignment with love. – Koya Webb
Expressing gratitude takes you out of victim mentality and puts you into that creator mentality. – Koya Webb
Whenever you find yourself in any type of emotion that’s not love, happiness, joy or abundance, that’s fear. – Koya Webb
Fear is feedback. When fear comes up, it’s telling you there’s a place within you that needs more love and attention. – Koya Webb
I want you to see the person who offended you on a stage, for example, and imagine a bunch of good things happening to them. – Koya Webb
When I know better, I have to do better and if I don’t, then I’m part of the problem. – Koya Webb
Do you have a morning routine? Do you practice gratitude? One of the big hesitations people have around setting a routine is that they won’t commit to it every day.
Discipline is not a punishment and it’s not perfection. If you’re just starting out, try to do one thing to process your emotions – practice gratitude, journaling, going for a walk, meditating, and so on. Do one thing that brings you joy and then build on it.
Redefining Wealth Rapid Wisdom Questions
And with that, let’s dig into Koya’s responses to our Redefining Wealth Rapid Wisdom Questions.

Growing Over Winning: A Recap of 2019
Thursday Dec 26, 2019
Thursday Dec 26, 2019
If you’re feeling like you’ve missed the mark this year or you didn’t accomplish everything you wanted to, then this episode is for you. This week we’re shifting how we reflect on wins and accomplishments, and celebrating the process and steps to those wins just as much as the wins themselves.
Many of us look to Instagram or to our Facebook memories to try to piece together the wins and milestones of the year, but we often forget the small steps and work that was needed to achieve those things.
I use journaling, not only as a powerful manifestation tool, but also as a reminder of the process to whatever goal I’ve set for myself. Journaling, for me, is not about keeping a diary, it’s about understanding how to unlock more of the things I say I want and heal the things that come up in the process.
This episode is brought to you by Rachel Luna and the Faith Activated Journaling Experience, which is a year-long experience that teaches you how to stop wasting your time and so you can manifest MASSIVE results through journaling.
You’ll discover how to unlock your blessings, author the life of your dreams and create rapid results in just 5 minutes a day.
