The Truth About Wealth
Thursday Jan 14, 2021
Thursday Jan 14, 2021
If you consider yourself a Purpose Chaser, then you know that every year we start the year off with a series called “Results, Not Resolutions”.
Around this time of year we hear many people sharing their New Year Resolutions and too often we make resolutions that we either don’t really want or we want, but don’t know how to actually achieve it in order to get results. I’m committed to helping you reach a sense of clarity and awareness of who you are, what you want, and who you need to become in the process, so that you take practical steps to reach your actual goals.
The truth about wealth is when we don’t define it for ourselves, others will define it for us. In this community, we are on a mission to redefine wealth and we believe that wealth is more than money and material possessions. We believe in the 12th century definition of wealth, which is the condition of well-being or happiness and we use the six pillars of wealth as guiding points to help us take practical steps toward attaining the wealth we desire. The six pillars are:
Fit: Becoming your best self
People: Taking care of relationships that matter
Space: Setting up your life to support you
Faith: Believing in something greater
Work: Living your life’s purpose
Money: Attracting the prosperity you desire
I invite you to join us on this journey and I challenge you to identify one thing you really want in each one of the pillars for 2021. Think about what your life could look like at the end of the month, the quarter and the year, and we will determine the steps to get you there. You were created for purpose, let’s redefine wealth together.

Season of Surprises: A Recap of 2020
Thursday Dec 31, 2020
Thursday Dec 31, 2020
It comes as no surprise that 2020 has been a year of unusual and unexpected surprises. In March of 2020, our lives changed forever because what started as a two week call to quarantine turned into a worldwide pandemic.
From the millions of Americans who lost their jobs, to the millions who gathered in solidarity to address racial and social injustices, 2020 also challenged our health with Covid-19 and led to the isolation and financial downfall of so many families. This year brought surprises that none of us were prepared for, but even in the midst of a season of surprises, we still have a responsibility to show up for ourselves, for the people we’re called to serve, and for our purpose.
In any season, we need to have a strong foundation in order to build and sustain the wealth that we desire. Pandemic aside, our purpose is not postponed. We are each called to do something and our calling doesn’t quit because of unexpected events. We have to be ready to rise to the occasion at every moment and 2020 was proof that greatness requires resistance. When faced with resistance we develop the tenacity to persevere, to work harder, to think outside of the box, to help each other, and to grow into the purpose chaser we are created to be.
When I look back over this year, I’m surprised not just by Covid-19 or social unrest, I am surprised by who I have become in the process. I am surprised by the deeper level of clarity I have gained, how I unintentionally figured out who I wanted to serve, and how I’ve come to understand what I do and do not want for my life.
As we wrap up this year and move into 2021, I want you reflect on these 3 questions:
What did 2020 come to teach you?
What did 2020 come to show you?
What did 2020 come to share with you?
Allow your answers to these questions to teach you a lesson and try turning your surprises into strengths. It’s time to ascend to new levels in 2021. Get ready, remain in alignment, seek wisdom, chase purpose and join me in the new year as we continue to redefine wealth.

Do you enjoy alone time and do your best thinking alone? Have you ever been told you’re too intense? How about networking, do you feel like you’re faking it when you have to network?
If the answer is yes to any of these questions then you may be an introvert. In my work with Purpose to Platform, I’ve heard so many women consider themselves introverts. After listening to a podcast called “No Small Talk”, I finally realized that I am indeed an introvert. In this episode I wanted to bring in the hosts to discuss how you can be a thriving introvert in an extrovert driven industry.
Ebony Omede and Sherry Balogun are the dynamic hosts of the “No Small Talk” Podcast - a lively space for introverts looking to build connections and level up in their personal and professional lives. Dr. Angela Anderson: Overcoming Imposter Syndrome
Thursday Dec 10, 2020
Thursday Dec 10, 2020
We’re wrapping up the Created for Purpose challenge this week in the Redefining Wealth Facebook Group and while over 3,000 women joined in to learn how to show up authentically in the marketplace, I’ve recognized a common theme holding many back: Imposter Syndrome.
It’s that feeling that even though you are well equipped, you are still some how not worthy enough to have a seat at the table and sit there in peace.
For some of us, it manifests itself by not pursuing opportunities we are beyond qualified for. For others like me, it may show up as overworking and over preparing to prove that you do, in fact, belong.
If these ideas mildly resonate with you, you are in for a breakthrough with this episode because I’ve brought in a woman who is brilliant in helping women overcome imposter syndrome.
Dr. Angela Anderson is the US Head of Diversity and Inclusion, Strategy and Operations at Novartis Pharmaceutical Corporation, as well as, internationally certified as an executive coach, master speaker and trainer. REWIND: Gratitude, Giving + Genuine Abundance
Thursday Nov 26, 2020
Thursday Nov 26, 2020
This year has shown us that with all of the negativity in the world, we have to fight to maintain an attitude of gratitude. Many of us understand the strong connection between wealth, gratitude and giving, but for those who don’t know, the concept is simple: the more you give, the more you receive.
This is why I believe we all need to focus on giving in this season because giving activates abundance. Our attitude toward gratitude and giving will determine whether we will reach the abundance we desire and it will show us whether or not we’re mentally and spiritually prepared to maintain it.
In this rewind episode, although recorded three years ago, the message resonates with our current state in 2020. After re-listening to this episode and checking myself, I believe it serves as a gentle reminder to extend grace to both ourselves and others, to fight for our gratitude when times seem tough and to move through this world as great, grateful and cheerful givers.
Key discussion points from this episode include:
How Gratitude & Giving Connect To Abundance - 7:35
Check Your Spirit Of Gratitude - 14:40
Becoming A Cheerful Giver - 19:13
